Unexpected train symphony

The indoor pool was a refreshing escape after a long drive, offering a great way to unwind before heading to dinner. The warm cookies at check-in were a delightful touch!

However, the proximity to the train tracks was quite disruptive. Trains frequently passed during the night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

staying here was fantastic as it was only a short 10-minute walk to Cowling Arboretum, where I enjoyed peaceful trails and beautiful scenery. The nearby Northfield Arts Guild was perfect for a quick visit to appreciate local art.

The hotel could benefit from improved cleanliness, particularly in shared spaces!!! Also, the lack of soundproofing in rooms is quite bothersome, as trains frequently disrupt sleep!!! High room rates seem unjustified!!!

i really enjoyed my stay at country inn. the breakfast was great, with varied options like scrambled eggs one day and fried eggs with hollandaise the next. the indoor pool was just right — a perfect way to unwind after exploring nearby carleton college and st olaf's. plus, the open stairs to the second floor added a unique touch!

Had an awesome time with friends! We loved exploring Nerstrand Big Woods State Park with its beautiful wildflowers and hiking trails. Came back to relax in the heated indoor pool, which was just perfect after a busy day. The breakfast area was great too, with fresh fruit and coffee. Definitely recommend this place for a fun getaway.

One downside was the noise from trains nearby. It didn't bother everyone, but it woke me up once during the night, which was a bit annoying.

The king suite provided ample space for the family, allowing us to relax and enjoy TV together comfortably. Breakfast featured a nice variety, with offerings like scrambled eggs and juices that catered to everyone's tastes. The tranquility of being able to open the room window for a private view of trees added to our pleasant experience. On the downside, we experienced noise disturbances from trains at night, which disrupted our sleep.
